OrphanPacific Inc. measures to contain the further spread of the new corona-virus
OrphanPacific Inc. is stepping up measures to contain the further spread of the new corona-virus by recommending teleworking and off-peak commuting for all employees. It also requires employees with high temperatures (higher than 37.5 degrees Celsius) to take leave.
On February 19, our company issued a guidance to all employees, advising to work at home unless they have compelling reasons to come to office. If one needs to come to the office, they should utilize the company’s extended flextime system to avoid rush hours.
In the wake of the corona-virus outbreak, OrphanPacific established a crisis management committee to contemplate measures to protect employees and stakeholders from infections with support from both internal and external experts in CMIC and MEDIPAL Groups. Based on its discussions, the guidance strongly recommends that employees refrain from making overseas travels in Asia for the time being.
OrphanPacific Inc. recommended against visiting doctors at medical institutions where corona-virus infections have been confirmed and to either shift to video-conference calls or consider cancelling or pushing back their appointments. Sales, Marketing and Medical Affairs employees are also requested to wear facemasks when they visit medical institutions.
